the first dessert I baked for my then-fiance was red velvet cake, and he was hooked...I love to cook, and my 3 daughters are following in my footsteps. This is a collection of recipes that we love. Feel free to comment - good, bad, indifferent - if you try any, let me know how they turn out.

BBQ'd Hamburgers

This is a recipe my mother-in-law made for the family growing up; she shared them with us this summer - they are fantastic. Sort of like meatloaf, unless that is a turn-off for you, then they are not like meatloaf at all ;)

BBQ'd burgers:

1 lb. ground meat
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt & pepper (we used 1/4 tsp pepper)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

Form meat into patties (we made 5); place in saute pan and pour sauce over. Cover and cook until done, spooning sauce over meat every few minutes.
